Amy Lyons

Welcome! I’m a writer who’s lived in Boston, Los Angeles, New York City, suburban D.C., and (currently) Nashville. I write about the search for home, mother loss + childlessness, and love, love, love. I’m currently querying a romantic comedy that has Sleepless in Seattle meets ER vibes, and a memoir about mother loss and anxiety told through the lens of my work as a medical researcher studying anti-seizure medication. I’ve published an array of short stories, essays, theatre reviews, book reviews, news stories, features, and Q&As. I’ve also served the arts community in many roles, including VP of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, writing instructor for the Porch TN’s Writing for Good program, and script reader for Universal Pictures.
